Ophelia Bishop is a woman who thought she had everything but coming back home to run her family’s B & B she realizes she does but there is always that regret that will always stay with her but when a knock on her door happens everything she thought she knew changes in that instance.
Kyle Kimpton is a man who is living his dream as a Major Hollywood Screenwriter, leaving behind a past that was heartbreaking but when he decides he needs to return to get his newest story written he returns to more than he ever expected.
Kyle & Ophelia have a history with some heartwarming moments definitely some heartbreaking ones but when they meet again can things be different.
The one question you will ask yourself as you read this book does everyone deserves the second chance and an ending they can change
I like this book so much, even though it made me cry. Ophelia is a strong, caring woman. She is also so darn organized that I’m envious. Running her B&B uses her organizational skills, and her guests benefit from her caring nature and love of her job. She and Kyle grew up together, along with Ophelia’s brother, Ethan. Kyle’s father was abusive, and Kyle couldn’t wait to leave home. Ophelia and Kyle were teenage sweethearts, and at 18 and in love, left New York for California. Kyle wanted to become a famous writer and encouraged Ophelia to pursue a singing career. The majority of the book takes place ten years later, and I have to admit
to being frustrated with Kyle quite a bit. However, he redeemed himself in my eyes, and I really love the last chapter and the epilogue. It was also fun to read more about Mia and Ethan (from the first book).
I read the first story in the Stays series by Jennifer Probst and enjoyed it so much I decided to sample book 2 in the series.

Sometimes the second book in a series feels flat to me. Authors try to push the book because they want to continue the series. Not this one. This was such a well written story - no corners cut and no rush to force the story line. Really the heart of the story reflects this as well. Life demands choices and each choice has consequences. Do you know yourself and what you really want in life? Do your choices reflect your heart or do you allow life to make your decisions for you? It's all about making sure your choices and actions bring you no regret and the consequences being something you can live with.

Anyone who ever had a first love that came too early to be mature enough to deal with the struggles of real life, anyone who loves second chance stories with real life intricately woven into the story line without the sap, anyone who wants to feel the love at the end of a story - if you are that anyone, you will fall into this story. I can't even think of reading another story for a few days. I just want to let this one settle into my heart for a minute.
